Assemblage - an exploration of Building Materials & Methods

An analysis of the materials and methods utilized in iconic buildings. Through physical modeling, students investigated the critical junctures among materials, tectonics and performance – how ground is constructed, transformed, and stabilized; where and how ground meets and relates to building foundation; how armature and enclosure generate relations between interior and exterior.
